Idea Book: C2 Catering, ACE Finalist, Catering West, Under 2 Million

The Achievement in Catering & Events (ACE) awards honor those who have worked tirelessly to keep their clients thrilled and their companies on the cutting edge. Each year, caterers and event planners from around the globe submit their best work from the past year in hopes of being recognized as the best in the industry. Catersource’s annual awards show, also including the ICA CATIE awards, took place in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace on February 19, 2018.

Each company submitted two events for ACE consideration. Here is a look at the two events that elevated C2 Catering into the finalist category of Catering West, Under $2 Million in revenue.

ONE: Tru By Hilton Grand Opening, Oklahoma City

It was a pretty big deal to be selected to cater the opening of a “first of its kind” hotel in the U.S.—Tru by Hilton. “The Hotel owner owns more hotels that anyone else in the nation and this was a great opportunity to get in front of all the CEOs invited,” said Younes Rebbaj, Director of Operations for C2 Catering. “It was a great stage to show off who we are, what we do and how we do it: food, bar, service, décor, presentation.”

And show it off they did, overcoming myriad challenges throughout the journey to completion, including having the “longest catering proposal ever made in our company!”

The event took place outdoors in a tent in a parking lot, so a kitchen needed to be built onsite. The client’s brand is all about a multifunctional approach and a seamless process. Everything on the menu needed to be an easy grab-and-go but also garnished and Instagram ready.

The smoothie station included Mango Lassi; Berry Banana Blast; and (shown) Green Detox Smoothie with kale, spinach, apple, pineapple, lemon, ginger, and a splash of cayenne pepper

Mini yogurt parfaits with a gluten and nut-free granola were topped with fresh fruit

Mocktails included a Blueberry & Mint Sparkler; Coconut & Pineapple Punch; and Strawberry Lemonade with fresh basil
