Recipe Friday: A Chef's Approach to Mixology

Irish Coffee (cold or hot)


2 oz whiskey cream (recipe below)
6 oz coffee


Pour coffee over ice and top with whiskey cream.

Ingredients for Whiskey Cream

14 oz condensed milk 
8 oz half & half 
1 oz chocolate syrup 
14 oz whisky 
6 dashes orange bitters
1 dash vanilla extract


Blend all ingredients together in a bowl and store in glass bottles for service.

Smoked Rum Punch Infusion


8 oz rum 
4 oz orange liquor
4 oz pineapple juice, fresh
3 oz lime juice, fresh 
2 oz smoked simple syrup
1 T coconut, toasted
¼ ea. jalapeno, sliced
6 ea. mint leaves
1 ea. cinnamon stick


Combine all ingredients together in French press for 30 minutes and then strain over ice to serve. 

Mango & Kaffir Lime Caprioska 


4 oz vodka
4 oz mango juice
½ ea. lime, quartered
2 ea. Kaffir Lime leaves, fresh 


  1. Muddle the kaffir lime and fresh lime with mortar and pestle
  2. Add to the shaker with other ingredients 
  3. Shake with ice and then pour in glass or over ice to serve

Just Friends


2 oz bourbon
½ oz fig jam 
3 dashes bitters 


  1. Combine in shaker and pour over large ice cube 
  2. Garnish with orange piece
