Aisle Inspiration

While the reception may seem like the main event for a wedding, the big moment is really the walk down the aisle. Most couples want their ceremony space to be romantic and personal to signify their union, as it is the place where they will say ‘I do’ to their future.

There are many ways to create a dazzling scene for your clients and their guests—here are some of our favorite ways to create an aisle to remember.

Line it with candles

This is a classic aisle decoration for a reason! Its simplicity makes for an easy design, while still creating a stunning look that draws eyes to the front of the room. Opt for clear vases or white luminaries to keep the flames enclosed. A sprinkle of flower petals pairs well with warm candlelight for a truly enticing effect. Consider using battery-operated LED candles for narrower aisles or events with children.

Go vertical

Vertical space is a major trend for reception décor, so why not bring the look to the ceremony as well? For a minimalistic look, hanging lanterns are a beautiful touch that are easy to setup. Conversely, consider lining up arches dressed in string lights for a more elaborate design. The twinkling effect will be mesmerizing!

Mix it up

There is no better place for unexpected décor than the ceremony aisle! While traditional décor such as runners and chair floral arrangements will always have their place, unique pieces like potted plants and vintage rugs are a great way to add an extra special touch that sets a celebration apart from others.

Focus on the altar

In some cases, your clients may have dreams of a dramatic altar that draws attention forward. Clusters of large pillar candles with beautiful floral arrangements are a great way to emphasize the space, as are ceremony arches decked out in LED bistro lights and soft drapery.

The aisle design will be a special memory for couples for years to come. While there is no need to go overboard for a ceremony space, a sweet and simple design will make for a wedding ceremony to remember.
