SAHARA Las Vegas announces its brand-new exclusive whiskey label in partnership with Rare Character Whiskey Co. The extremely rare IRT-23/BG#38 barrel—never released before and never to be released again—is a five-year high-rye, straight bourbon aged in Tennessee and bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky. Created by restaurateur and whiskey aficionado Pablo Moix, Rare Character Whiskey Co. was created out of Moix’s love for collecting and producing rare and distinctive whiskies. The limited-edition SAHARA Las Vegas high-rye bourbon barrel is available at Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabhouse and Sports Bar, CASBAR Lounge and The Tangier while supplies last.

Dare to Outdoors with Sheraton Dallas and book your next meeting event with the hotel’s expert event planners to be held at Pacific Plaza Park. The Sheraton Dallas’ catering team has partnered with Pacific Plaza Park, a green space spanning 3.7 acres in the middle of Downtown Dallas and just steps away from the hotel, to create a premier culinary experience in the heart of downtown Dallas. Pacific Plaza Park offers a backdrop of city lights and now, the opportunity to combine outdoor and indoor space for your next meeting or occasion with the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. Sheraton Dallas offers locally grown seasonal produce including artisan cocktails and local micro-brewed beer, and the hotel’s experienced event planners are ready to assist any group in creating a memorable and extraordinary event. Pacific Plaza Park features a 614-foot-long Indiana limestone seat wall which traverses the entire park, over 140 newly planted trees, 11 Column Pavilion, 31,950 square-feet of lawn space, and night-sky friendly lights throughout the plaza. Three food truck power outlets are available on Harwood Street, and standard outlets are located throughout the park. Outdoor amplified sound is allowed in conjunction with a special event permit between the hours of 9am and 10pm.

Sheraton Denver Downtown, Downtown Denver’s largest hotel that recently unveiled an $80 million renovation, announced today the appointment of Keith Steigerwald as Director of Food & Beverage. Steigerwald has been with the Marriott brand for 14 years and brings over a decade of experience in overseeing hotel Food & Beverage operations.  As Director of Food & Beverage, Steigerwald is responsible for delivering a Colorado-focused food and beverage experience to hotel guests. Steigerwald and his team will focus on partnering with local producers such as Elevation Artisan Meats, Jumping Good Goat Creamery, and many distinguished local distilleries and breweries to provide guests with a taste of Colorado. In this new role, Steigerwald will oversee all of Sheraton’s dining experiences including in-room dining, 16thStreet Commons Coffee Bar Bar, Spritz Pool Bar, as well as Bezel Cocktail Lounge, Denver’s swankiest new cocktail experience that opened in November 2021 on the 16th Street Mall. Steigerwald and his team ensure that all dining entities transition guests seamlessly from day to night with food and beverage options that are locally-sourced, easy to enjoy while working and customizable to accommodate all tastes and schedules. Steigerwald began his hospitality career in 2013 serving as Director of Restaurants at Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Prior to joining the Sheraton Denver Downtown team, Steigerwald spent six years in Northern California serving as Director of Operations at The Lodge Sonoma and as Director of Operations at W San Francisco. While there, he earned a degree in Winemaking and Viticulture from UC Davis.
