Who's News in Catering for December 24, 2022

At a recent executive summit hosted by Funky’s Catering Events in Cincinnati, OH, the Leading Caterers of America, comprised of top catering and event companies throughout the United States and Canada, met to discuss the state of the industry—and to celebrate new member companies who joined the group in 2022.  

New members include: 

• Blue Plate Catering of Madison, WI; Bold Catering & Design of Atlanta, GA; Zingerman’s Cornman Farms of Ann Arbor, MI; District Events & Catering of Atlanta, GA; Low Country Quisine of Farmers Branch, TX;  Michael Scott Events of Queens, NY; Partyman Catering of Avon, NY; and Southern Way Catering of Columbia, SC. 

In addition, shortly after the meeting concluded, LCA welcomed Great Performances of New York, NY to join beginning in January 2023. All potential members are vetted first via a stringent list of criteria, as well as by executive director Carl Sacks and a steering committee representing four regions of the U.S. plus one additional floating member.    

The Board of Trustees of the ICAEF are proud to announce the recipients of scholarships to attend the 2023 Catersource or Art of Catering Food conferences. Scholarships are awarded based on the potential impact attending Catersource or The Art of Catering Food will have on the applicant’s career in catering.  Congratulations everyone!
