A 25-year anniversary party for Above All Catering

Celebrating the milestone of a 25-year anniversary is a big deal, and an opportunity to show how a company has impacted others throughout the years. It’s also a grand opportunity to market how it can continue to do so in the next 25. Time for a big blow out of a party!

“We wanted to utilize both indoor and outdoor spaces to host over 500 people: past clients, event industry professionals, event vendors, food influencers, and of course, family and friends,” said Kendall Senko, Above All Catering’s director of marketing.

With Coachella and other music festivals prevalent in the area, the company decided to play off that theme, collaborate with other southern California companies, and create Instagram-worthy moments around every corner. “From festival-inspired food to larger-than-life gummy bears, we created a host of unique spaces. We decided the outside area would have colorful elements paired with a rustic decor and the inside would focus on more bohemian elements,” said Senko.

Outside the venue

Sun’s out, fun’s out with oyster shucking, colorful gummy bears of gargantuan proportions, great cocktails, and a host of DJs.

Riffing off the bohemian vibe of Coachella AAC’s friends at Allure Home & Event Staging created a whimsical area that included a teepee, dream catchers, and plush pillows. Other areas featured a fire pit with Adirondack chairs

Similar to Coachella, the company implemented an art installation with a butterfly chalk wall

Larger-than-life gummy bears in a variety of colors studded the outdoor event area

“The Above All” combined strawberry vodka and club soda with drunken gummy bears. For those opting for non-alcoholic, an adorable cold brew truck was on the scene

Inside the venue

While the focus was squarely on food, whimsical seating and intriguing focal points captured attention.

A life-sized tree was the centerpiece to the main food stations, which included ceviche (sweet shrimp with pico de gallo; Mahi Mahi with cucumber; and mango-avocado with cilantro and lime); flatbread (street corn and Spanish chorizo flatbreads); and a fried chicken po’boy station with barbecued potato chips and watermelon shooters with brandied cherries and muddled mint.
