Catering by Max's Goes to the Dogs

Catersource readers and Conference attendees were invited to enter the “Party Down” Crazy Catering Contest for a chance to have their story featured in a future episode of “Party Down," - a Starz TV series about an LA Catering company who frequently runs into odd and unusual event situations.

Starz network executives wanted to hear about the craziest or funniest event you’ve ever catered. Randee Estes, Director of Catering for Catering by Max's in Chicago, IL had just such a story to tell!

"In July of 2007, we had a weird run of parties for several of our clients’ dogs" says Randee. "This particular one was a stitch! The service below tells the story."

Randee didn't have to say any more. She won the contest and you just may see this Bark-Mitvzah featured on "Party Down" in the future! Randee and 10 runners up also received “Party Down” Season 1 DVD box sets.

"You are invited to Tuck’s Bark-Mitzvah"

In keeping with the tradition of all thirteen-year-old boys we would like to celebrate our beloved dog Tuck’s thirteenth birthday.

The party will include a traditional service with barkings from the Torah and family members that will be called to the bimah to recite Tuck’s ARF TORAH portion.

Following the service we will enjoy a buffet that includes all of Tuck’s favorite treats.

After the guests are seated Larry and Randee will welcome them and the service will begin:
• A new meaning of life
• Now comes Tuckies way
• The passing down of tradition
• On this special day

Tuck will sing the morning blessing
Through each and every part
With joy in his words
And music in his heart

“It is a real mitzvah to have the opportunity to celebrate Tucks Bark Mitzvah and have our family and friends present for this special occasion”
