Putting the MOD in Modular with Mix and Match Designs

Modular design has been used across many industries to combine the advantages of standardization (ease of installation, lower cost) with the beauty of customization (the ability to personalize and freedom to create). Atomic Design has been working on modularity in its labs for several years and has recently developed several new modular designs that will increase creativity and cut down installation time for production and stage design.

Atomic currently offers 19 different panel design options with more on the way. All panels can mix and match, and snap together with a user-friendly connector to build endless combinations including, but not limited to, backdrops, projection surfaces, cabanas, columns and chandeliers. The latest additions to this collection are the industrial looking Gearz and the winter wonderland YetiFlake.

Applying the modular concept from SuperLever to soft goods, SuperZipper enables event producers and designers to zip together five-foot-wide draping panels to fit any size space. SuperZipper works with five of the company’s designs at the moment – looks that range from the clean, sleek Lynes, to the full-bodied Flounce – with more in production.

Built with SuperLever panels, these columns offer a small footprint and big design presence. Ground-supported, they require no additional hardware and offer endless mix-and-match options to customize height.
