Our ongoing partnership with the International Caterers Association brings many additional networking opportunities to Conference attendees. Membership in the ICA is NOT required to take part in these sharing and learning events with leaders in the catering community.
Club ICA
Club ICA is open to all conference attendees, not just ICA members. In addition to the roundtables, all are welcome to relax over a beverage and make new friends, use it as your rendezvous point to meet up with fellow attendees, sit in a comfy chair and put your feet up or bring your lunch in on Monday. Treat Club ICA as your own personal lounge and meeting place for business or relaxation! Cash bar will be available.
Roundtable Discussions
in Club ICA and open to all Conference attendees
Be ready to share your own ideas and experiences. Choose a topic, join the moderator and other caterers at the table, and participate. Sessions will appeal to owners, operators, sales staff, and chefs and culinary personnel.
A sampling of hot topics:
• Food Ideas: New stations, buffets, and hors d’oeuvres.
• Weddings: Tastings, bridal shows, and educating the happy couple.
• Proactive Sales: Where to find NEW clients and business.
• Building a New Facility: The good, the bad, and the ugly
• Chefs: Ongoing challenges in back of house, and the solutions
• Growing Pains: How to overcome obstacles in your quest to increase your business.
• Giving It Away: Dealing with requests from charities
• Plus open forums to answer your most pressing questions
The ICA was begun 28 years ago when a group of caterers met around a table to discuss issues. Even now this is still our members’ favorite part of any conference. A complete program of topics will be available at the Conference. Roundtables will be offered daily Sunday through Wednesday.
